“ Went during a Friday for breakfast and it's wasn't terribly busy, upon entering the place it had a cozy diner feel to it. My wife ordered an Apple Waffle. This was a thinned out belgian style waffle with apples mixed into the batter and dusted with powdered sugar, sized as big as the plates. The waffle on its own was tasty and the two different syrups provided helped as well. I had the Green Chile and Pepper Jack Omelette which was bouncy, cheesy and oozing it's stuffing. My only thing is I should've added bacon or something in the mix. The dish also came with buttery and crunchy house potatoes, these were rich in flavor though a tad too salty for me. Service was great, they were friendly and quick to always top up your coffee. Prices seemed reasonable too, considering how substantial the portioning are. Overall a really great spot to satisy your breakfast/brunch cravings. ”

“ Woke up wanting breakfast and ran into this place. Walk in and theres a lot of people inside seated and waiting. Didn't have to wait long for seating but there was a lot of people waiting so beware. I ended up buying the Strawberry Pancakes w/Bacon & Sausage Links. They give you a lot of pancakes and they were good. Bacon & Sausage were good. If your in the area definitely stop by ”

“ A wonderful breakfast "Pancake" house with a European feel. They have some excellent pancake offerings that have more of a European taste. Potato pancakes, a huge German style pancake, an amazing assortment of omelets... All of the food is quite tasty. Definitely not an overly sweet American taste, but more of a subdued, less sugary and less salty flavor profile. An "adult" taste to be sure. The service is professional. Do expect to wait a bit for your food, as it takes some time to cook - but it is definitely worth it. I'll be back, and enjoy it every time! ”

“ I still don't understand why OPH doesn't have a solid 4-stars rating, so I am here to, once again, change this. As mentioned in my last review, I've been dining here for what feels like over a DECADE now. I won't lie--you might have to wait to get seated, to have someone take your order, and to get your food. But guess what? So does everyone else. It's as true as the sun rising in the east! In fact, most waits to be seated will be a 15-20 minimum wait, depending on the size of your party and how busy they are. I mostly go to 2 breakfast spots here in San Diego, and have been going to both for almost the same length. More recently, I find myself favoring OPH more because of their consistency and excellent customer service. I've dined here twice this month and both visits were a positive experience. My go-tos, are their benedicts and corned beef hash, and their potato pancakes (extra crispy) for their sides. Your water and coffee will never run-out. Even their hot-chocolate is BOTTOMLESS! All the staff members we've been helped by are wonderful and helpful. I see reviews complaining about "bad" food from them. My advice? If it's not to your liking, don't eat it /stop eating it and tell your server. If you don't tell them something is wrong, you also don't give them an opportunity to fix it. Simple as that. Although their decor is not the "cottage core" I always adored, and is more up to speed with modern times, and even though their prices certainly have hiked up, I will continue to dine here and support OPH. “ If you love pancakes come here. They have quite a selection and truly delish. The Dutch Baby is just like home made with lots of butter and powdered sugar. My son had pecan pancakes that were loaded with pecans. We will be back. ”
